The Venus chest

1840+

According to legend, a hundred years ago, a man fell madly in love with the Goddess Venus. Captivated by a divine inspiration, he decided to paint her in order to contemplate the masterpiece of desire, her curves and her unique radiance. He owned a century-old pine trunk in which he placed, well rolled up, the painting of his favourite Goddess.

Jarrod Goodrum found this dovetail and square-nail chest in an old barn on the coast of Nova Scotia. He then glorified the memory of the ancient painter, sculpting the magic of his art on this pine chest before adorning it with this divine old painting.

One of Jar of Good Rum's finest creations. Who can be worthy of the femininity of Venus will discover herself with grace.
